"Wood you look at that mask"

Films: You Might Be the Killer (2018)

Alias: Sam Wescott

Type: Mystical

Location: Forest/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: A typical serial killer film, this one seems to be. There's a crazy in a mask, the girls are looking to be the survivors, and it's in the woods. But all is not what it seems. The slasher flick is about to be turned on its head ever so slightly.

History: Back then, a woodcarver made the terrible mistake of crafting a mask from the bark of a tree possessed by an evil spirit put in there by a Cajun medicine man. The woodcarver met his end when he donned the mask, killed his entire family under its influence, and got put down by a lady. His mask remained in what would eventually become Camp Clear Vista. Unfortunately, a person found it, and is now on the move, killing everybody. A guy named Sam contacts his horror buff friend from afar for advice, but all signs slowly start to point to Sam as the killer.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: It's confirmed that Sam is the killer, but the mask is the thing that's influencing him. After the remaining girls fight over being the final one, the last one standing stabs Sam as he tries to wear the mask again, and buries him in a shallow grave. She then takes the mask for herself. Two years later, and Sam is back from the dead for another crisis...

Powers/Abilities: The mask can grab a hold of one's mind, pressuring them into wearing it so that it may make them kill. Its preferred weapon is a knife retrofitted with a predator's jawbone.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-As usual, we have a serial killer who leaves his victims in a bloody heap. Even worse, it's all that damn mask's fault. The person behind it is almost always someone who would never kill in their lives. Not helping is the actual design and the arsenal at hand. Someone just turn that accursed thing into kindling already.

Trivia: -That awesome main theme for this film was done by Harlo, a band that was rather new at the time. They're not bad, either. If these low-budget guys could acquire their impressive talent, so can you!

-The filming location for Camp Clear Vista was Camp Bon Temps in Louisiana.

I mean, Summer School's the other worst place to be, right?
"Why couldn't the mask be at least chrome?"
